I often walked down the road toward the sun until the last of the roundness disappeared and then I'd turn and make my way back home. I savored that time of day and I still do but now I sit on my deck and listen to the katydids' chorus in the surrounding woods.Glenda Council Beallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04778241689968750316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067112966724673321.post-69269031631669936262008-09-01T08:47:00.000-07:002008-09-01T08:47:00.000-07:00Thanks, Gary. It was "Dark Thirty" by Terry Kay down in Georgia. "Dark Thirty" was a grim account of murder in Georgia, but the title takes its meaning from that last thirty minutes of a summer night when darkness falls suddenly.

Often, when I am prowling the poetry blogs, I think of a significant prose equivalent of what the poet has said.
Gary CardenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
